Steve brings over 40 years of IT and Operations experience in Insurance and Financial Services, having held Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) positions at leading firms. Steve has a deep understanding of IT management and how to optimize Return-on-investment (ROI) and enhance the value being received from a company’s portfolio of IT investments.

Prior to joining Suite 200 Solutions Steve enjoyed a long and prestigious career as Executive Vice President and CIO of Chase Manhattan and MetLife and head of Strategy and Technology for QBE North America. Most recently, Steve was an advisor and consultant to major insurance companies serving as Oracle’s Insurance Industry (Key Account) Advisor. Over the years, Steve has been an Executive Advisor to new start-ups and major players, e.g., Sun Microsystems and ATT, and was a member of several “think-tank” groups, e.g., the Research Board, MIT CISR, and CIO Strategy Exchange.

Steve’s focus today is on helping companies understand how IT can be better utilized and managed, and developing value-added strategic plans. With his understanding of both the Insurance value-chain and IT he is able to connect the two, enhancing communication and the effectiveness of IT investments. Today, Steve acts as a mentor to several ex-colleagues and CIOs.

Steve has a B.S. in Computer Science an M.B.A in Operations Research and is a graduate of the Harvard Advance Management Program. During his career Steve has been a sought after speaker at major industry conferences and received recognitions including: Computerworld 100, Insurance technology Elite 8 and Top 10 CIOs in Financial Services.
