Vic’s practice with Suite 200 Solutions’ focuses on implementing/augmenting claims oversight programs for carriers and self-insureds, client retention training, litigation management, and teaching negotiation skills.

Vic brings to his clients more than 40 years in the insurance industry.  His background is extensive and encompasses the management of high-cost claims in five lines of coverage (general liability, workers compensation, property, D&O and EPL) claims.  He was a member of the Disaster Assessment Recovery Team which developed procedures and action plans following a catastrophic loss, such as 911, Hurricane Katina and the Caldor wildfire.

Vic was honored with the CLM Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. He was the first dean of CLM Claims College.  He has taught courses on coverage, disposition strategy, effective public speaking and leadership skills.  Vic was a professor at the Litigation Management Institute for 12 years, with his curriculum focused on teaching young law professionals on hiring and retaining clients and building strong partnerships. Class feedback rated Vic’s collaborative style very high. He received is CLMP designation the first year LMI was established.  He has been a speaker at almost every CLM National Meeting since 2011 as well as at other CLM specialty conferences and has also authored articles for CLM Magazine.  He is a current member of the CLM Advisory Board.

Vic is regarded as an innovator in the self-insured community by introducing effective cost containment initiatives that have reduced claims costs in several lines of insurance. Prior to joining Suite 200 Solutions, Vic’s role was the Assistant Vice President of Risk Management – Claims for Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Prior to that, he spent 25 years with Marriott International overseeing large dollar claims.

Vic is a graduate of the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.  He attended the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine University and the SMU Law School focusing on alternative dispute resolutions.  He is a certified mediator in the State of Maryland.
